How It Works

Creating a custom rug at Hatsu is simple and collaborative:

1. Share Your Space

Send us your room dimensions and photos: floor plans, elevations, or even a quick snapshot will help us understand the context and proportions.

2. Choose Your Design Direction

Decide on the palette, pattern - geometric, abstract, floral, etc and material family you prefer. We’ll share curated options that suit your space and style.

3. Work with our Designers

Our in-house designers will work closely with you to create custom rugs exactly the way you want them - from sketches, deciding scale, patterns and color direction, to suggesting the best materials to work with - all the way till production.

4. Production Begins

Once your design is finalized, we begin production with our master weavers. Custom hand-tufted rugs typically take 30 days and hand-knotted rugs take 50 days, depending on weave complexity and size.

5. Delivery & Installation

Your rug arrives carefully packaged and ready to roll out. We’re happy to advise on placement and care.
